Maria Kot is an owner and founder of Mair Consulting. She holds an E.A. license and is admitted to practice before IRS. Maria received her accounting knowledge from Pace University and BBA in Finance from Baruch College in NY. Maria has 20+ years of versatile experience and expertise that allows her to look at any issue from different angles. She worked as an accountant and manager for companies in different industries such as construction, trucking, retail, wholesale, real estate and non-profit. She worked as a paralegal in immigration and business law fields. Maria sees every client as whole with unique set of needs that are interrelated and equally important. She created Mair Consulting with a vision, as she called it, “holistic approach to a client”. Preparing a client’s tax return Maria wants to know about the client’s family, business, health and life insurance, retirement, investment, and immigration situation. She is urged to create a scenario that would serve her client’s unique needs the best.
Maria is dedicated to help people. Before moving to Florida, she was a community leader and public advocate in New York City. She was called a “Pillar of Biliteracy”. She initiated dual language programs that allowed New York City’s kids to study in English and Russian, Spanish, Chinese or Hebrew in public schools. Her work was acknowledged by the New York City Hall. Maria is a recipient of the Commendation for her “tremendous contribution to the City of New York”.
